Thank you for visiting North Yarmouth Academy’s website.  NYA is an independent school serving students in grades 5-12 on the beautiful coast of Maine, just north of Portland.  Our rich educational program strikes a unique balance between rigorous academic courses, strong athletic opportunities, and an expressive array of offerings in the arts.  Each of these areas is strengthened by the values in the school’s mission of integrity, character, and intellect fostered by our close-knit community.  Students are known at NYA and are valued as unique learners in the classrooms, on the playing fields, and in the performance and exhibition halls.  Just as it was when the school was founded nearly 200 years ago, these high levels of achievement are made possible through the guidance and dedication of talented faculty and staff who love working with students.
