Steve Morris Golf Tournament

Thank you for another successful tournament!

A Fearsome Foursome

On July 31, 2010, 25 teams participated in the 9th Annual Steve Morris Golf tournament held at Toddy Brook Golf Course in North Yarmouth.  It was a picture-perfect day.  After golf, participants had lunch in the newly-expanded clubhouse at Toddy Brook where the results were announced and prizes were awarded.

Thank you to all the participants for their support of the Steve Morris Scholar Fund.  This year’s tournament raised approximately $10,000 for the fund, making our goal!

Special thanks to this year’s Presenting Sponsor, Patriot Insurance, for their continued and loyal support of this tournament.

Thanks, also, to all of the Hole and Prize Sponsors as well as all the volunteers who helped make the tournament a great success.

The Steve Morris Golf Tournament would not be possible without all the hard work and dedication of Tournament Director, Jim Briggs.  Thank you, Jim, for all of your hard work!

About The Steve Morris Scholar Program at NYA

This golf tournament is held in honor of beloved faculty member Steve “Mo” Morris. Proceeds from the tournament go to the Steve Morris Scholar Fund at North Yarmouth Academy

The Steve Morris Scholar Fund, a 2002 initiative of the North Yarmouth Academy Alumni Association, was set up to provide endowed financial aid support to two freshman student/athletes, one boy and one girl, who are chosen annually. Each will receive funds for all four years they attend NYA between their 9th and 12th grade years.

It is an opportunity to honor Steve Morris for all that he did for NYA and to ensure that students, who may not otherwise have the means to attend NYA, are given the chance to do so and to achieve their potential.

Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
