July 1 Letter to the NYA Community

July 1, 2011

Dear NYA Community,

It feels wonderful to say at last, “Greetings from Yarmouth.” Charlotte, the children and I moved into our house on a morning that began in fog and yielded to sun by afternoon. Throughout the day came cheerful faces and offerings from parents, students, teachers and staff. NYA could not have provided us with a kinder beginning to what we know will be a transformative chapter in our lives.

And I’d like to offer in return a greeting just as sincere: please come by my office, write, or call to say hello, introduce yourself, or share a conversation. My email address is bchoyt@nya.org and my phone is 846-9051. By the end of the month, my doors will be open for regular office hours.

Please know that Charlotte and I are truly delighted to be part of NYA and to have our children understand the privilege of living and learning in this magical part of the world and at this wonderful school. We look forward to getting to know all of you, to working hard and achieving goals, and to celebrating those achievements this year and beyond. In the meantime, thank you again for all you’ve already done for our family. May these precious weeks of summer renew and reward you.

Yours truly,

Brad Choyt
Head of School
