NYAPA Project Graduation Poinsettia Sale

You’re invited to participate in our annual Poinsettia Sale. The Parents’ Association funds a chemical free graduation party for all of our seniors each year. The Poinsettia Program is one of several ways that the Project Graduation Committee raises money. Please note that the deadline for ordering poinsettias is Friday, November 19.


NYA Parents’ Association Wreath Sale

The Parents Association invites you to participate in our Holiday Wreath sale.  Place your order for Maine made wreaths or roping to decorate your home, barn and office. Profits from the sale support the school and help fund the grants awarded to NYA staff and faculty, which directly benefit our children’s educational experience. The deadline for placing orders is Friday, November 12.

Make sure to order your Black NYA 3 IN 1 Jackets by the Thursday, November 4 deadline. This jacket is used by students in all sports. Both shell and fleece lining have an embroidered NYA and if the last name embroidery option is chosen, the name will be on both the shell and the fleece lining. Each piece can be worn separately or combined for a very warm winter jacket. Sample jackets are available in the school store. At this time, only adult sizes are available. Please open the link for the required order form and for additional information. Jackets will be available for pick up on Thursday, December 2. If you have any questions, please email lmertz@nya.org.

Due to minimums required for ordering these jackets, this may be the only order placed for this school year.

School store hours are 2:00 to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday.

Boys Soccer – NYA advances with an upset win over Wiscasset

NYA, seeded #8 going into the playoffs, upset #1 undefeated Wiscasset in a rainy quarterfinal matchup. Read the Press Herald story. 

The team advances to play at #5 seed Hall Dale, who upset #4 seed Dirigo yesterday by a score of 2-1.  The Regional Semifinal game will take place at Hall-Dale (97 Maple Street, Farmingdale, ME) on Saturday, October 30 at 3:30 pm.


State Championship Run

Both the NYA Boys & Girls Varsity Cross Country Teams have qualified for the Class C State Championship Meet this Saturday, October 30, at Troy Middle School in Belfast. The boys enter as this season’s Western Class C Regional Champs, while the girls posted a strong 3rd place finish at the regionals. The boys race at 12:30 pm; the girls race at 1:15 pm. Go, Panthers!


High Noon at Orono

NYA Varsity Girls Field Hockey, Western Maine Class C Champions, will face Eastern Champs Foxcroft in the state Class C title game this Saturday, October 30, at noon. The contest will take place at the University of Maine at Orono. Go, Panthers!

Upper School Fall Exams

Upper School Fall exams are scheduled for Wednesday through Friday, November 17 – November 19. The first exam each day begins promptly at 8:30 am. Please refer to the exam schedule for specifics.
