North Yarmouth Academy (NYA) Athletic Director Mike Dutton announced that Mike Hebert of Greene, Maine has been hired as Head Girls Ice Hockey Coach. Hebert has over ten years of coaching experience most recently with the Portland Junior Pirates as one of the U-19 Girls Travel Team coaches. “Mike brings extensive hockey experience to the position, and it is my strong feeling that he will make an immediate impact with both the team and our community,” said Dutton.

Hebert, part owner of Hebert Construction in Lewiston, Maine, is already familiar with NYA hockey and the school community. His son Simon graduated from NYA in 2009, and his daughter Alexandra is currently a senior. “We’re all excited about this great coaching opportunity. NYA has a very young team but some great senior leadership that I will rely on heavily. I will be focusing on developing individual player’s skills, and I expect the upcoming season to be a positive and productive one,” said Hebert.
