NYA does not offer a formal, independent study program at this time. If a student is interested in pursuing a course of study not regularly offered, she or he should seek out a faculty mentor and discuss the possibility. If the mentor deems it worthwhile for both the student and the teacher, that teacher should bring the proposal to the Faculty Academic Committee for consideration.
