Student use of personal cell phones is prohibited during the school day. Cell phones should be turned off during this period and left in lockers or book bags. Phones that go off in class or that are being used on campus during the day will be confiscated and returned to the student at the end of the school day or to the parent upon subsequent violations (see “Electronic Equipment”).
If students need to use a phone during the school day, they may use the pay phone located near the gymnasium or ask faculty or staff for permission to use their cell phone or one of the many phones in classrooms or offices.
Parents should be sure that students know how to reach them during the school day.
