Parents receive information about their student on a regular basis. Written reports from advisors and teachers are sent home at scheduled times during the year. Additionally, classroom instructors will report a student’s significant deficiency in a course via email, a written note or a phone call to parents. The student’s advisor is also included in the line of communication.

Copies of Detention slips go to the student’s advisor, the Dean of Students and the parents. An instructor completes a Detention Notification to report an Academic Detention or inappropriate behavior (both in the classroom and out) for which a Disciplinary Detention was assigned, and to indicate what action was taken. Recommendations for further action may be made in the memo.
