Social Service

September 8, 2011

In keeping with the school’s commitment to service, all students are involved together in at least two social service projects each year. Grades five through twelve participate in Project: Reach Out, a day-long volunteerism for the greater Portland/Brunswick areas. In addition, each senior ends the twelfth grade year with two weeks of individual service work. The goals of these service projects are as follows:

  • to create opportunities for students to give back to the community;
  • to provide leadership and organizational experience in the process of planning and executing the various social service projects;
  • to cultivate an awareness of human needs and environmental concerns.
