North Yarmouth Academy is a close, small school community where students discover great opportunities to pursue their interests and develop their talents. Within this community, a student will encounter other students and faculty with a wide variety of abilities and interests. All members of this school community are bound together by mutual respect, trust and common commitment to achievement.
The Student and Parent Handbook is written for the use of the entire North Yarmouth Academy community. It outlines the basic principles, philosophy, requirements and guidelines of the school. A successful community must have certain goals, values and standards that everyone must understand and respect. Please understand that this Handbook is not intended to cover all aspects of the relationship between families and the Academy, and that NYA reserves the right to change policies and procedures at its sole discretion.

North Yarmouth Academy is an independent, college preparatory, coeducational day school serving students in grades five through twelve. The school offers a structured program that sets clear standards and high expectations in an environment that emphasizes values of mutual respect, trust and community. North Yarmouth Academy is dedicated to fostering integrity, character and intellect in young adults.
The North Yarmouth Academy program encourages students to develop:
