| ab | = |a| – |b|

Week 2 Puzzle

I hope you all enjoyed the trip to Kieve last week! Here is your next Puzzle! Remeber, do not post the answer, but tell us about your thinking or give us a hint.

Welcome to Math 7!

Welcome to a new NYA blog for students in Math 7. Here we will be discussing how we think WITH math strategically.  Each week I will post a new Puzzle of the Week. Do NOT post your answer to the puzzle. Instead, explain your thinking strategy or write a helpful hint to allow others to solve the puzzle. If you find and interesting puzzle that you think would make a great Puzzle of the week, please send it in!

Let’s get started! Here is your first Puzzle of the week:

Using the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 fill in the blanks to make a true statement – use each digit only once.

____ . ____  -  ____ . ____  ____  = 2.26
