Moonlight Swim

My heart races
As I glide off the sleek wooden dock.
Soaring through the star covered night sky,
I hit the water.
Bubbles come up all around me,
Water whirling past my face.
I feel like a mermaid
Rising up from the water,
Moonlight shining down on me.
Liquid green ice
Calm as ever
Casco Bay,
My home.
