Calm, glassy water
a dark night sky lit by a fading sun
and two young kids, standing
in the water, tossing a Frisbee.
It is not every day that a scene
like this occurs. It is one of those moments,
caught forever in a photograph,
of the simple pleasures of life.
No electronics, yelling, or fighting.
It’s simply just two kids
enjoying themselves.
Long after, both will look back,
not just on this one moment,
but on a lifetime of moments like this.
Moments that are so basic, so pure,
but also so deep and rare.
It’s merely two kids,
brother and sister, enjoying themselves
on a beautiful evening
with a Frisbee…
just a Frisbee.
