Interests: Animation (Both 2d and 3d), movie making, creative writing, world/soundtrack/instrumental music

Favorite Books:Books- Eragon, Tarzan of the Apes (along with many other Tarzan books), Macbeth, Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes collection, Dragon’s Blood, (too many to list)

Favorite Classes: Latin, English and Science

Writing Focus: Mainly adventures, particularly ones with characterization possibilities. I prefer to have things actually happen and have people react to them in stories than just comparing things or arguing points.

Why Writing and Art is Important: They are the most basic form of self expression and they don’t require a lot of material. Writing and art tap into peoples’ imaginations.

How Writing and Art Fits Into Your Life: I do enjoy writing essays for English and Latin class, exploring some of the great ancient authors and their works. I took Drawing I this year and enjoyed the laid back environment of the Art room along with the time to work on projects that were completely subjective.

Writing Process: Both in and out of school, for longer pieces, I usually do a quick, bullet point outline of major events or turning points in a character’s thinking. This helps me stay on track. All I have to do when I’m actually writing is connect the dots. The ideas usually come when I’m listening to soundtrack music. Sometimes, though, I don’t actually write a story because I spend too much time thinking about it and never actually write it down.

Anything else?: “What is written without effort is in general read without pleasure.” ~ Samuel Johnson
