Welcome to Great Questions in World History!

In this brand-new addition to the NYA history department, 9th grade students will have the chance to grapple with age-old philosophical questions such as “What is just?” and “What makes a meaningful life?”.  Over the course of the year we’ll be drawing from a broad range of the Humanities – art, religion, history, philosophy, and archaeology to name a few – in order to construct responses to those and other essential questions.

If you have specific questions about the nuts & bolts of the course (units of study, grading policy, course norms, etc.), please check out our Course Overview for Great Questions in World History.

For nightly homework assignments, click on”Homework” at the left of this screen.

(Both B Block and C Block will be posted by DATE ASSIGNED so make sure you are looking at the post from the right class period!)

Both sections have generated Class Norms for eachother and for me.  Please click on the following links to see them.
