Experience Summer! offers children of all ages the chance to experience the dynamic learning opportunities and individualized growth that are the hallmarks of an NYA education. Building on our core school values of character, community, and respect, Experience Summer! provides a broad range of programs appealing to every passion and interest, from lacrosse to German, from algebra to art. Students can expect to build meaningful relationships with their instructors and with each other, while engaging in a variety of  learning experiences in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in the community!

About our Summer Programs Director:

Kelly Orr joined the NYA Faculty in fall 2011 as the Coordinator of Experiential Education and Project: Reach Out. She also teaches two sections of Great Questions in World History to a lively bunch of ninth graders. Kelly is excited to be heading up Experience Summer! for the 2012 season, and brings a wealth of knowledge about summer camps and program administration to this new and exciting position. When Kelly isn’t teaching, coordinating, or administering at NYA, she enjoys baking, pickling, running, biking and jumping into cold bodies of water around the state of Maine.
