Sports Camps

While engaged in the rigors of athletics, students are encouraged to develop the dispositions needed for good sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. Students will benefit from the expertise of seasoned coaches who bring their extensive knowledge and passion for sports to bear on a variety of activities designed to help students develop skill and technique.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS LACROSSE ACADEMY

Grades: Rising 5th – 8th grades
Session 3: July 9 – July 12, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, LUNCH PROVIDED
Cost: $225

Designed to help rising 5th through 8th grade boys develop sound lacrosse fundamentals. Players will learn both individual skills and team concepts, starting with passing, catching, and ground balls and advancing to shooting, dodging, and team concepts like defensive slides and offensive play. The players will learn throughout the day as they work hard and have fun in the process.

UPPER SCHOOL BOYS LACROSSE ACADEMY

Grades: Rising 9th – 12th
Session 4: July 23 – July 26, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, LUNCH PROVIDED
Cost: $225

Designed to help rising 9th through 12th grade boys develop lacrosse fundamentals, this camp is focused on players with the desire to play in college. Players will learn both individual skills and team concepts, including shooting, advanced dodges, and defensive positioning. They will progress to team concepts like man down defense and man up play. Players will learn individual skills that will make them stand out among their peers and elevate their level of play, all while increasing their “lacrosse IQ” as they are coached through different game situations.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP

Grades: Rising 5th – 8th
Session 5: July 30 – August 2, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, LUNCH PROVIDED
Cost: $225

Boys will learn the fundamentals of basketball from an enthusiastic coaching staff led by Mike Dutton, NYA’s Director of Athletics. The camp will focus on the development of young players who are interested in playing at the high school level. The camp is carefully designed to teach younger players the finer principles of ball handling, passing, shot selection, defense, court awareness and teamwork. While fundamentals will be stressed, live team play will also be a daily component of the camp. Camp T-shirt, workout booklet, and personal evaluation also included.

COED SUPER SPORTS

Grades: Rising K – 5th

Session 1: June 18 – June 22, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Session 2: June 25 – June 29, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Cost: $250 per session
AFTER CARE AVAILABLE 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, $50 per session

Rising K – 5th graders will spend a week playing a variety of sports including Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, and more. Days will be filled with sport-specific instruction designed to expose children to a range of athletic activities and opportunities for cultivating teamwork and leadership. Campers will learn how to exercise, have fun, and learn through athletics! Students are responsible for bag lunch and water bottle.
